Flanders' cauliflower: a quality product.

With annual production figures of more than 100.000 tons, cauliflowers are now one of the major openair cultivation vegetables in Belgium.
Large fresh Belgian cauliflowers are a genuine quality product.

Only the finest heads are sent to the vegetable market. In addition, the Belgian vegetable industry can thank the cauliflower for its position as market leader in Europe.

Supply of cauliflower during the year

Criteria  
 
  • Fresh "flower" and leaves
  • Firm, compact head
  • Uniform white or light cream in colour
  • Minimum diameter: 27 cm

    Storage Hints  
     
  • Cover and store in a very cold place
  • Remove yellow leaves (these will give off ethylene)
  • A waterbath can refresh cauliflowers
