Elsanta: the last word in flavour.

Open-air Elsanta strawberries are synonymous with taste and quality at competetive prices. Elsanta is available from April to December. It is the pride of the crop: strong, problem-free, attractive... and extremely tasty! In addition, the annual Selva variety provides a balanced spread of crop between August and October amounting to 5.000 tons. In Flanders, strawberries are cultivated with painstaking care and know-how and are subject to stringent quality control.

Exporters provide optimum service: ultramodern chilling system, fast packaging at the auctions and product-orientated chilled transport guarantee an enclosed chilled chain from the producer to the customer.


 
Supply  
  High quality strawberries are grown all year round in Flanders using completly natural methods. High season is June. For the later crop of strawberries, the plants are stored in chilled rooms during the spring and then planted out from time to time.

    Storage Hints  
     
  • Display in a cool place (8 to 10°C) and handle as little as possible
  • Strawberries should be sold as quickly as possible. Constant product control is essential (remove any bad fruit)
  • Do not display strawberries close to strong-smelling goods (strawberries readily absorb odours)
